The one and only deadline this year for the Marketplace Open Enrollment is this Friday (December 15) if you want coverage in 2018. In previous years, open enrollment ran from November 1 – January 31. However new for this year, open enrollment runs from November 1 to December 15, with coverage beginning January 1, 2018. This is the one time of year when you can add or switch your health insurance coverage. Make sure you have reviewed your options before it’s too late.
If you don’t enroll in a plan by December 15, 2017, you can’t get health insurance for 2018 unless you qualify for a Special Election Period.
